Ok, we will forgive you; when we say “Buffet”, most people’s minds go to an image of a plastic table pitched up in a sweaty tent or conference room, all the good sandwiches have already gone and no one’s refilled the coffee.
Relax, at Ross and Ross – we do buffets our way. Ross and Ross Events don’t do “boring” and we certainly don’t do soggy sandwiches. We adore a well-considered, bright, bountiful buffet. With lots of fresh ingredients, all locally sourced and a whole host of options for you and your guests.
Our brilliant buffets have been popular on film sets, the days before or after a wedding, for a wedding itself and for the classic business lunch. Guests are wowed by the colourful dishes, the selection available and as always, the exceptional staff.
Let me talk you through your options, first we have our “Boards”. Think big wooden chopping boards, only prettier. Within your buffet selection you will have three boards. On those three boards you are able to make a choice of three items. The “Butchers Board” hosts a great choice of cold cured meats, roast beef and the classic paddock farm pork pies are always a popular pick. The “Fish Board” is much In the same, a varied selection of top of the line, freshly caught fish dishes, and then there is the “Vegetarian Board” that runs along the same premise.
So, you have your boards, with three selections on each. Now we move to our glorious salads, containing a whole host of wonderful grains, potatoes, rice and the all-important seasonal veg. From the wonderful selection below you can have up to three options served to your guests:
Roasted Beetroot, Watercress & Balsamic Oil
Basmati & Wild Rice, Chickpeas, Currants, Herbs & Crispy Onions
Green Salad, Cucumber, Avocado & Celery with Lemon Dressing
Apple, Sumac, Red Onion & Pomegranate Salad
Charred Broccoli , Feta & Almond Salad
Bulgar Wheat, Cherry Tomato, Cucumber & Radish Salad, Yoghurt Dressing
Grilled Peach, Buffalo Mozzarella & Cured Ham Salad, Mint Dressing
Heritage Tomato, Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil
New Potato and Shallot Herb Salad.
Taste buds tingling yet? After the salads you then have a selection of tarts to choose from to keep your guests going. We recommend a choice of two tarts, one of which to be vegetarian.
As if that wasn’t enough to keep your guests going- you then can make a selection of three types of dessert for your buffet too! Buffet prices start at £50 per person + VAT based on all the elements listed above, this also includes service wear, staff and a complimentary front of house manager and head chef. If you wish, we can also supply teas, coffees and a selection of soft drinks for your guests (or alcohol should you wish.)
Did we mention how we don’t “do” boring? Good! Rest assured your buffet will look tantalising and colourful. Each element will be displayed on our custom stands, boards, and gorgeous sharing bowls. Different colours, textures and heights of display will engage your guests with the bountiful options available to them, making sure they are well fed and happy. Plus, they will look great on your social media.
