When it comes to the all-important ceremony, Sudeley have a vast list of locations available to officially tie the knot! Sudeley are licensed for civil ceremonies in the cosy castle library, outdoor blessing weddings can be hosted on several lawns and gardens within the scenic grounds, or the magnificent, refurbished 15th century church of St Mary’s offers you the ability to celebrate your marriage traditionally right in the heart of the estate. Wherever you decide to hold your ceremony, you will be surrounded by some of the most captivating views, making your wedding truly unique.
With an abundant venue like Sudeley, there is so much choice on where to host all elements of the big day! The Grounds are vast and utilising all of the various areas allow your guests to explore all the venue has to offer. Drinks reception calls for an intimate spot with lots of scenery, the rose garden, nestled between the castle ruins and St Mary’s Church, is idyllic. Right around the corner is the secret garden, where guests can scamper away to and explore the beautiful blooms, accompanied with a glass of fizz and a sneaky canapé.
There are plenty of places that are perfect for photo opportunities as newlyweds, the magnificent grounds offer many impressive locations for picture perfect photos. Sneak off to the secret garden for some intimate snaps, pose by the romantic castle ruins for the ultimate royal backdrop or even venture down towards the lake for some more relaxed shots.
The breath-taking Orangery is situated by the Old Coach House and allows a spacious sun-soaking dining area for up to 150 guests. A bright and airy space for you and your guests to dine or even party the night away, the Orangery is so versatile and can be utilised for multiple parts of your celebration. Your guests can enjoy the outside bar on the large terrace and gaze out towards the sweeping hills of the Cotswold valley alongside the castle exterior. This area is truly a blank canvas, and you can express yourselves by decorating the room to your heart’s content.
For larger celebrations, a marquee on the North Lawn allows an intimate view of the Tithe Barn. Nestled by the lake, the marquee sits overlooking the romantic castle ruins, perfect for a big feast and evening entertainment. Due to the exceptionally unique nature of the venue, Sudeley offer a limited availability of weddings per year, but offer a beautiful setting whatever the season!
