January is not only the start of a new year but is also a time for a lifestyle change. Most popularly being known as ‘Dry January’, where we set the challenge of consuming no alcohol for the whole month. For most this might be an easy lifestyle change, but when you work in this industry, it proves a little more challenging! We have seen a rise in non-alcoholic options to cater for those who might not drink and we are lucky enough to have tried a fair few to find the best options.

Here are our top 3 ideas for drinks that are alcohol-free!

Mocktails

Just because your drinks don’t contain alcohol, doesn’t mean your drinks can’t taste equally delicious. There are many cocktails which can be transformed into mocktails, so you can still enjoy their fruity flavours.

Daisy – Our signature Ross & Ross cocktail, made with our very own custom gin, is the perfect blend of bitter and sweet. In its mocktail form, it’s equally tasty and refreshing, perfect for the spring season. Served best during drinks reception, as a light refreshment to kick off the celebrations. Made with Non-Alcoholic Gin (Our preferred choice is Cotswold Green 0%), Elderflower Cordial, Lemon Juice, Apple Juice, and Egg White.

Old Friend – another classic cocktail of ours, that also features our own gin, is another delicious drink, with a little bit of bite to it. In its mocktail form, it’s a little sweeter. This best served before dinner, to awaken your palette for the food to follow. Made with Non-Alcoholic Gin, Grapefruit Juice, Elderflower Cordial, Orange Bitters and Egg White.

Hugo Spritz – A summer spritz, full of floral flavours, a hugo spritz is a fantastic drink. Best served during the summer months, during a drink’s reception, this drink will keep your guests thirst quenched. Swap the elderflower cordial and fizz for alcohol-free options. Made with Elderflower Cordial, Nozeco and soda.

Alcohol-Free Alternatives

Nowadays there are plenty of alternatives on the market to substitute your favourite tipple. Most of these tasting almost identical to the original. These served best during your evening bar or during your drinks reception.

Fizz – Nozeco is a brilliant alternative to Prosecco. Offering the same taste as a prosecco, most guests would be none the wiser that they are in fact drinking a non-alcoholic option. Best served during a toast, or drinks reception. Another popular non-alcoholic fizz, but available in a white or rose form, is Wild Idol.

Beers – If you’re a larger lover, it can be hard to part ways. However, there are some fantastic non-alcoholic options on the market. Options like Lucky Saint, Peroni Zero, or Nanny State, offer the same iconic taste of a lager.

Gin – For those who prefer a gin, there are a wider variety of alcohol-free options available, for instance Cotswold Green, Seedlip, or Three Spirit. All of which have an abundance of flavours, so your bound to find something you like.

Softs

There are a huge variety of soft drink options that are great to offer your guests during your celebration. These appropriate for any kind of event, offer a great taste, whilst being alcohol-free. These can be served as the main options or can be available as alternatives or additions to an alcoholic drink.

DASH Waters – Sparkling waters bursting with flavour, these waters offer a wide variety of different tastes. From raspberry to lime, there’s bound to be a flavour perfect for your event.

Elderflower Fizz – A popular option for the summer months, this light refreshing drink works perfectly either alongside fizz, or as a replacement.

Fresh Juice – Opt for fresh juices, for instance orange or apple, to be available throughout the day. Perfect for summer months when they hold the most flavour.
