When catering on mass it can be challenging to cater towards everyone’s dietary requirements. As luxury event caterers in the Cotswolds, we are always accommodating and are here to help remove the unnecessary stress for you, when catering for everyone! One very common dietary as of recent, is being vegan and we are seeing more and more vegan weddings come into the mix. Being vegan doesn’t mean your food has to be boring, bland, or teeny tiny portion sizes. Whether you opt for a fully vegan menu or you need a dietary alternative for a few of your guests, we will ensure it is equally as tasty and it fits in with your chosen menu!
If you’re not vegan yourself, then it can be challenging to decide what to feed those guests that are, that’s where we come to help! It’s always best to choose a dish that is cohesive with your chosen main, for instance when opting for a blade of beef, a lovely alternative is a mushroom and spinach pithivier, both warm, hearty, and full of flavour, whilst being plated similarly. If, however, you were opting for a BBQ sharing style menu, with burgers, sausages and a mixture of meats, we would recommend a tex-mex vegan burger with fries, again fitting your chosen menu style and leaving those who do have a dietary requirement to almost seamlessly blend in.
With all our menus, just because it is not listed, does not mean we can’t do it. More often than not we cook and serve bespoke dishes for our couples, whether this be Nanny’s homemade apple pie, a Nando’s inspired sharing main, or a delight you enjoy cooking together at home. We love when couples bring a menu choice that means a great deal to them. If you are vegan, then you will know your own favourite meals and what better inspiration to harness than your own, use it to your advantage! Or similarly ask a friend or family member who might be vegan themselves, a great way to involve them within the planning process and a great way to learn what they would prefer.
Of course, choosing any menu can be a daunting task, but don’t let it overwhelm you, we can always advise you along the way, but if you’re still struggling for ideas, here are some of our favourite vegan options recommended by the team!
