sudeley castle
Sudeley Castle is a truly unique venue, with a rich 1,000 year history and more than 1,200 acres of grounds nestled in the heart of the Cotswold Hills. Romantic ruins set against the backdrop of sweeping valleys and magnificent, award-winning gardens combine to create a beautiful and dramatic setting for your wedding.
The castle’s history is intertwined with that of Kings, Queens and noblemen whose lives have played out here throughout the ages. By holding your most memorable day at Sudeley Castle you will become a part of its rich and romantic story.
Due to the exceptionally unique nature of the venue, we only host a limited number of weddings each year. For the duration of your wedding, you and your guests will enjoy access to the magnificent gardens, grounds and breath-taking views surrounding the castle.
Whatever you’re dreaming of, be it a lavish marquee wedding for 600 guests or a memorable church service followed by dinner and dancing, the Sudeley team will work with you from start to finish to ensure that your day is perfect in every way.
The beautifully refurbished 15th century church is truly magical and is situated within the heart of the grounds and gardens. The church offers the opportunity to celebrate your marriage and re-affirm your vows in a traditional setting.
Sudeley Castle is licensed for civil ceremonies in the unique and atmospheric Castle Library. The Library is a beautiful room filled with antiques, fine art, tapestry and an extensive collection of rare books.
Outdoor wedding blessings can be held in the picturesque grounds. We have several lawns and gardens that reflect the elegance and tranquillity of the Castle and are an ever-evolving showcase, offering beautiful settings in every season.
